Genetic Roulette - The Gamble of our Lives

What an interesting documentary.

Irritable bowel syndrome, Leaky Gut Syndrome, Miscarriages, Kidney Disease, Thyroid Disease, Diabetes, Cancer and allergies are all being linked to the consumption of genetically modified foods.

Personally I choose to leave GMO's out of my diet and support organic food as the research that I have seen so far in favour of them is not looking too promising. Yes they have been championed as possible solutions to world hunger problems. What use is a food though if it is causing a massive decrease in your quality of life? Also deeper questions have to be asked in regard to world food shortage. Is there a lack of food or is it more to do with mismanagement of resources as a result of a profit over people mentality?

Corn and Soya are the two biggest genetically modified foods and while they are banned for consumption (from my understanding) in Europe it is still legal for them to be grown here, and they are in mass quantities. Cross contamination between GMO and non GMO crops is possible therefore I choose to leave all Soya and Corn out of my diet even if it is Organic. Also there is way more nutritious and delicious foods out there besides these two, therefore there is no need really to be consuming them save that they are cheap, readily available and convenient.

Corn and soya are in nearly every packaged food available in some shape or form. Some of the hidden sources which you would not suspect are maltodextrin, Modified Food Starch, malt, malic acid and there are many more. Corn oil is another hidden one with many fast food joints frying there food in this oil.

Anyway enough said. Do your own research guys and know the source of your food as it does matter.
